Veera Limited has stocks in APP which the firm expects to hold for a while. Veera's investment banker, GB Investment Limited, asked if they could borrow 50,000 APP shares for four (4) months. APP shares are currently sold at $65, and Veera negotiated a cash collateral of 103 per cent. The market interest rate on the cash collateral is 3 per cent. Veera will offer GB Investment Limited a rebate of 2 per cent. Calculate the combined profits for Veera and GB Investment Limited.
