Avery, a part-time cook at Local's Bar and Grill, had been assigned a list o f items to prep including batter that would be used to fry fish.
After prepping a full batch, Avery noticed a small amount of used batter in the refrigerator. It was labeled with yesterday's date, and titled "Fried Fish Batter".
Avery decided to add the small left over amount to today's batter and mixed it together.
At the end of the night here was a small amount of batter left over that Avery labeled, dated with the current day's date and stored in the refrigerator.
1) Was Avery's action to combine the batters before service handled correctly? Why or why not?
2) At the end of the night, was Avery's action to store the batter handled correctly? Why or why not?
3) As a manager, how would you correct any incorrect action that happened here? Would your correction only include Avery or other employees as well?
