Summarize this type of evaluation. The type of evaluation I would use for a first-year coach who is struggling is a combination of self-assessment and constructive feedback where they and the AD answer the same questions, ranking questions on the same type of scale. Questions can range from preparation for daily practice plans, communication with athletes, parents, and fellow coaches, to building a positive team environment. This allows the coach to share where they think their strengths are but also where some areas of weakness are as well. The same goes for the AD as well. From there we could create a version of an individual improvement plan. I would ask the coach a few things they would like to improve upon going forward, giving my input from there and then we would create goals together.
