The digital enterprise is defined as a new paradigm that shifts the focus from conventional information management to orchestrating services and workflows. Describe an example workflow for an electronic publishing (e-publishing) company. Your workflow should include information on all stages right from the gathering of material from the author to the end-consumer purchase. How can this be maintained in an IS? How is this different from the workflow of a traditional publishing company? Do you think one workflow is better than the other? Justify your answer using examples and reasoning and comment on the postings of at least two peers.

The definition of IT is broadly stated to be the collection of computing systems used by an organization. Apply the definition of IT, as stated above, to an online customer-to-customer (C2C) business such as eBay. Explain how the business is conducted online in context of the C2C example you've chosen. What constitutes the IT necessary for them to conduct the visible aspect of their business? Why do you think is it necessary?
