Assessment Task:

Collect urine sample from a person admitted to your ward and perform urinalysis. The person is conscious, oriented to time, place and person, ambulant and can follow commands and requests.

You should demonstrate the initial part of the procedure on a manikin in the simulated nursing environment,

i.e. providing information on collecting the urine specimen.

Your assessor will also provide relevant data/value for documentation purposes. The time allocated for this assessment is fifteen minutes.
