Question 1. Two economic variables of Canada that are interested in analyzing. (Using IBIS World Data Base)
Question 2. Collect data on both variables for a period of time (at least 20 occurrence). It can be either in a time-series format (observations over time) or cross-sectional format (observations across units at a single point in time).
Question 3. Organize the data in a table on excel.
Question 4. Plot the data in a scatterplot to visualize the relationship between the two variables. Label the x and y-axis and provide a title for the plot.
Question 5. Use the scatterplot to determine if there is a positive, negative, or no correlation between the two variables.
Question 6. A brief report to summarize findings. In report, include the following:
a. A brief introduction to the two economic variables you selected and why you chose them.
b. A description of the data you collected, including the sources, the period of time, and the measures of central tendency for both variables.
c. The scatterplot and a discussion of the relationship between the two variables.
d. A conclusion that summarizes your findings and discusses the implications of your results.
