Question

Many nurses have difficulty believing that their colleagues may be involved in drug diversion (Nyhus, 2021). Before approaching my colleague, I would follow the protocol that my facility uses when cases like this arises. I would start small talk about their wellbeing and how the individual is generally, to get a feel of what might be happening in their world. Also if there have been discrepancies with narcotic involving the said colleague, I would ask what they think might be happening that the count may be off.
