Carine, for your post. It was so insightful, and I shared your view of an exceptional transformational leader who inspired and empowered her team by collaborating and fostering open communication with them. I have a similar nurse leader, and we applaud her leadership role. She rounds all nine medical surgical units very early to meet with all staff individually to learn how we are faring psychologically and better understand our staffing challenges. She makes rounds with snacks for all staff and says words of appreciation for all services. We saw a typical leader described as a wise leader cited by (Broome).
