I agree that either an external style sheet or embedded style sheet are the best options. The inline style is confusing, the content and styles are not separate and hard to pick apart when creating them. The benefit of content and style separation are numerous and an external or embedded style sheet does this. The embedded contains the styles at the top of the page and the external is a completely separate page that is linked to in the content page. I am finding the external sheet to be the best option for me. I can create my content and then "play" with the styles in a different area outside of my content.
