A tablecloth of length l rests on top of a table also oflength l. There is a bowl on the tablecloth at l/2. Assumethat the coefficient of friction between the bowl and thetablecloth is μ1 and the coefficient of friction between the bowl and the table is μ2. At whatconstant speed v must the tablecloth be pulled suchthat the bowl slides off the tablecloth, slides on the table, andcomes to rest at the very edge of the table?
