What would you do?
Submit as a memo from you, the supervisor, to me, the owner of the company. I have asked that you tell me to explain what you are doing to address ONE of the scenarios below. You will need to add your own details to the situation.

1. Absenteeism - employee has called in sick on six occasions in 3 months.
2. Tardiness - employee arrives between 2 and 10 minutes late to work at least once/week.
3. Insubordination / Uncooperative - employee refuses to help other co-workers with clean-up at the end of shift.
4. Alcohol / Drug Abuse - Employee is showing signs of possible abuse plus you have heard from co-workers that employee spends lunch break in car.
5. Workplace Violence - Angry girlfriend arrives at your company, demanding to see her boyfriend. She walks onto the workroom floor and pushes him in the chest.
6. Theft - You find an employee making 100 copies of a flyer they are using to sell their car.
7. Time Wasting (theft of time) - An employee takes a ½ hour lunch break (off the clock), punches in and then goes to the bathroom every day for another 30 minutes.
8. Body Odor - a newer female employee arrives to work in dirty clothes and smells of BO. You have already spoken with her once about hygiene.
