A programming club has 6 members consisting of 4 female and 2 male students.

In how many ways the club leadership consisting of a president, a vice president and a treasurer can be selected? 

My result: I got that it can be selected in 4096 ways, since for each member you have 4 possibilities, President, Vice president, Treasurer, and none of the other.

Question: Is that correct? And if it is, is the explanation that I gave justification enough?
