Imagine that you have to run a cloud-based architecture given the provided scenarios.
Scenario 1: Your company is requiring you to deploy AWS Elastic Beanstalk as part of its internal search engine platform. This will be done through the existing AWS management console. This software allows the creation of the company federated search for product indexing.
Scenario 2: Your company wants to make use of Dropbox to store files for quick access across all of its designers. The company is not worried about security, since these files will be relatively public after development (logos, banners, newsletters). You are tasked with setting up a company account and making sure users have access.
Scenario 3: Your company is in need of a new server for development. It has chosen DigitalOcean as its web hosting company and would like you to take the lead on the deployment of this development system. The system will need to be accessible to certain users, have a high level of security, and be fully customizable.
Part 1
• Choose one of the scenarios described, and indicate which one you have chosen.
• Describe why the company in the scenario would want to run a cloud environment.
• Determine which cloud service model you would use for that cloud.
• Explain why you would use that cloud service model by discussing its advantages and disadvantages.
Part 2
• Determine whether you agree or disagree that the cloud service model someone else suggested works for the given scenario, and provide your rationale.
• If you disagree with the suggested cloud service model, discuss what alternative service model you would use, given the scenario.
