What would you do in the following scenario? You are representing your employer in attempting to close a sale to a good customer on a product line that you have heard will be closing out in the near future (3 months to a year) and replacement parts may be difficult to find if there is a breakdown. This product will be replaced by another product that will be a little more expensive but more durable. You are paid on commission and this sale will provide you with a hefty bonus at year end because of a sales contest. Will you disclose to the customer that the product line that he/she is interested in may be replaced or withhold the information in order to get the sale? Discuss.
