We know that as the climate is changed that poorer nations and poorer people suffer most than wealthy nations and their citizens. Even in the United States, access to clean air and water, natural disasters and impacts on health and the growth and development of children have been impacted by climate change. Think about the Flint water disaster or hurricane Katrina, or the damage of hurricanes in Texas and Puerto Rico. In urban areas, air quality and the rates of asthma impact minority populations more than the general population.
