Question

A consultant assign you a refugee case where a claimant has been subject to a "cessation clause" that is where a refugee after being accepted as a protected person have returned to home country for 1 month using her country of origin passport (renewed recently) to visit her sick mother. The claimant says I had no other option but to take care of my mother. She has been a PR since 2012. Now, CBSA officer has sent a report to RPD to vacate/cease this refugee protection.

Considering the time spent back home, the time she has been a PR, etc find some case laws that will help your consultant support his arguments to win the case.
