Jessica purchases an antique camera with a flash bulb from an antique shop for $50 on September 1, 2022 in San Francisco. There are no instructions delivered with the camera. She takes it home and doesn't use it for two years. On September 2, 2022 she has a party. At the end of the party, she takes the camera out, mounts it on a tripod, and attempts to take a group picture of the participants. As soon as she snaps the photo, the bulb shatters, and the shards of glass from the bulb cutting Jessica's face, badly. She has to have plastic surgery. She consults a lawyer about it and the lawyer says she has a case and files it in a California court against the antique shop and the camera manufacturer on August 30, 2026, including a claim for a breach of an implied warranty.
