You are a civilian analyst working with the local police department. You receive report of a suicide. The family does not believe this was a suicide and wants answers! Female was last seen with her boyfriend then was reported to have walked into the bathroom and shot herself. Belonging to the victim a digital camera, multiple thumbdrives, a cell phone and a laptop were all seized and brought to the lab for a forensic examination. Is there any other evidence you may want to look at? Boyfriend's property and why?

2. What questions would you have for the family? Boyfriend?
3. Search Warrant? Consent? Can the family give consent? Confidentiality?
4. How would you secure the scene at the residence?
5. For this particular crime, what forensic evidence would you be looking for?
6. If you responded to the residence and noticed that both the desktop and laptop are on how do you collect them? What do you do?
7. You notice a multiple cell phones and SIM cards on the table? What do you do? What information can you get off a SIM card?
8. Once you get the evidence, how would you package it up for transport back to your lab?
