3. appraise and present complex and big data in visual from that is readily understandable by specialist and non-specialist audiences using data visualisation methods tools and techniques;
4. interact and collaborate effectively in teams to design and implement data visualisation project;
5. articulate and explain ethical dilemmas with regard to privacy and security concerns that may arise in data visualisation projects.
Note you must use Tableau Desktop for Assignment 3 Task 2. Failure to do so may result in Assignment 3 Task 2 not being marked and zero marks awarded for Assignment 3 Task 2.

Assignment 3 consists of three Tasks.
Task 1 Big Data Visualisation Implementation Plan (1000 words)
Select a widely used data visualisation tool other than Tableau Desktop and explain how the Team will implement and encourage the adoption and use of this data visualisation tool (this could be in your own organisation or in a fictitious organisation). The discussion should be structured to address these issues: Software and Hardware Requirements, Licensing, Training, and How Information Security and Privacy Compliance would be enforced using this data visualisation tool
Task 2 Dashboard Data Visualisation Project with Tableau (1000 words)
Your Team's chosen Data set (file name) will be used for Assignment 3 Task 2 to implement four different Tableau views set specified in Assignment 2
Task 2.1 Tableau Desktop Graph/Table View that highlights an important trend and/or pattern with brief accompanying description (50 words)
Task 2.2 Tableau Desktop Graph/Table View that highlights another important trend and/or pattern with brief accompanying description (50 words)
Task 2.3 Tableau Desktop Graph/Table View that highlights another important trend and/or pattern with brief accompanying description (50 words)
Task 2.4 Tableau Desktop View that highlights another important trend and/or pattern by location with a brief accompanying description (50 words)
Task 2.5 Tableau Dashboard, Justification for Dashboard Design. Provide a screen capture of your Big Data Visualisation (Named by your Team) Dashboard, describe and justify in detail, the design and functionality of your Big Data Visualisation Dashboard emphasising the purpose of the four Tableau Desktop views to support the decision making of an organisation in proactively managing events/exceptions relative to your chosen data set drawing on relevant good dashboard design literature (800 words)
Task 3 Team Presentation of Big Data Visualisation Dashboard (500 words)
Task 3.1 The Team is required to create and record a power point presentation of Task 2 Big Data Visualisation Dashboard and four specific Four Tableau Views (Task 2.1, Task 2.2, Task 2.3, Task 2.4). The Team will collectively in a power point presentation describe and justify the design and functionality of their Big Data Visualisation Dashboard. The Team will emphasise the purpose of each of four Tableau Desktop views to support the decision making of an organisation in proactively managing events/exceptions relative to the chosen data set (Named File)
Power point presentation should be professionally presented, logically structured as outlined above and visually appealing, making appropriate use of text and graphics drawing on best design principles Top Ten Slides Tips

You will create and record audio-visual PowerPoint presentation structured as follows:
• Slide 1 Title of presentation course no, course name, assignment name, task no, team no, student no and name - Introduce Team

• Slide 4 First Tableau View - Specific design and functionality
• Slide 5 Second Tableau View - Specific design and functionality

• Slide 7 Four Tableau View - Specific design and functionality
• Slide 8 List of References
PowerPoint Notes
Each PowerPoint slide will have notes. The slide notes present to the marker the quality of power point presentation content in terms of:
• Purpose of Dashboard
• Specific design and functionality of Tableau views in dashboard
• Concluding remarks
Task 4 Big Data Visualisation Project - Team Journal (500 words)
The Team collectively needs to complete a journal listing key activities undertaken by team members, date, time duration and explain how each activity contributed to completing Assignment 3. Assignment 3 Task 4 Journal can be included as an appendix or submitted as an additional spreadsheet file using the spreadsheet template file.

Three files must be submitted for Assignment 3:
1. Assignment 3 Report for Tasks 1, 2, 3 and 4 in Word document format with extension .doc
2. Tableau packaged workbook file extension .twbx which contains four (4) Tableau Text Table
/ Graph workbooks and Big Data Visualisation (Named by your Team) Dashboard for Task 3
3. Task 3 Power point slides with audio recording
4. Big Data Visualisation Project Team Journal - appendix in Assignment 3 Report or included spreadsheet template
5. Optional Video recording of Power point slides if there no audio recording attached Power point slides
