Choose a musculoskeletal or nerve trauma that you are familiar with by personal experience, or choose one from the text book.  Explain the nature of the injury, including anatomy, structural make-up, and mechanism of injury (MOI).  Then describe what phase of healing this injury could be in and describe what is happening during this phase of healing. I would discuss how macrophages are coming into the area and fibroblast (fiber building cells) are coming into the area to try to formulate regeneration etc.

Note:  all these injuries can be found in each phase of healing: I would like for you to concentrate on one phase during this forum discussion!

Instructions: Each student must submit an initial post which is at least 500 words in length and includes at least one scholarly reference. Students are evaluated on the ability to validate, support, and provide evidence for their responses.
