In addition to quantitative data, understanding the nuanced beliefs, attitudes, and perceptions of communities towards cholera prevention and control measures is indispensable. This entails exploring the role of faith and cultural practices in shaping behaviours related to hygiene and sanitation. Recognizing the significant influence of faith in certain communities, I aim to engage with stakeholders, including community leaders, religious figures, and healthcare providers, to glean insights into the intersection of faith and public health strategies. To gather this rich tapestry of information, a combination of methodologies is employed. Surveys and questionnaires yield quantitative data on demographics, health beliefs, and access to WASH infrastructure, while interviews and focus groups offer qualitative insights from key stakeholders. Additionally, community engagement activities, such as participatory workshops and action research, foster dialogue and trust, enabling a deeper understanding of community needs and aspirations (Mtawa, 2019) By integrating these approaches, I endeavor to develop nuanced policy recommendations that address health disparities in cholera prevention and pave the way for equitable WASH infrastructure development in vulnerable populations.
