It is without a doubt that Chinese immigrants and Native American's were treated poorly during the post-Reconstruction period. After the war, the Native American's were thought to be of "no use" to the Americans hence why they tried to limit the land they owned as well as take some of it back. As Chinese immigrants began working many jobs in America and became more successful, it fueled jealousy within white American's. In combination with the difference in culture between Chinese and white American's, it resulted in prejudice towards Chinese immigrants. It is evident that within this period, white American's were focused on expanding and "sameness" which many believe to be a form of white supremacy.

Obviously, both Chinese immigrants and Native Americans were oppressed and hated during these times. The U.S. issued the Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882 which closed America from the Chinese. Different from Native American's, I believe that the Chinese weren't necessarily given the opportunity to assimilate with white American's. Additionally, Native American's were losing their land and were also threatened to be excluded if they didn't conform to white American's standards. Nonetheless, white Americans wanted to remove those different from them and keep the opportunities and prosperity for themselves to please their own ideologies.
