She is 5'1" and 95 pounds. She currently is taking no medications. She has no known drug allergies. Her parents are alive and deny illness. Her mother inquires if her immunizations are current. On exam you note a protuberance and realize it is probably Osgood-Schlatters. Osgood-Schlatter disease is a condition that causes swelling and pain just below the knee. It is most common among teenagers who play sport. It is not serious and usually goes away in time. You are going to prescribe ibuprofen for pain as needed.
