Word count in a Master’s thesis is generally 22 to 25 thousand English words (including tables and figures). 2.2 Thesis Writing 2.3 Abstract The abstract in the master’s thesis should be 300~500 English words, and the abstract in the doctoral dissertation should be 500~800 English words. The English versions of doctoral dissertation from international students should provide a “detailed Chinese abstract” with no less than 3000 Chinese characters. 2.4 Contents Contents should involve the titles of all the chapters, sections, and articles in the form of page number, both Chinese and English contents are required.

1 Contents Requirements 1.1 Title The title in English and Chinese (The Chinese title is usually less than 25 Chinese characters) should be concise, reflecting the most important part of the thesis appropriately, accurately and scientifically. Given that the title is difficult to simplify due to its rich content levels, the title and subtitle could be used.
