Whenever children are reaching milestones, this is a part of their growing up. Some developmental assessment tools are observations and rating scales. Observations help the team to record meaningful details of children's engagement in different activities and their needs and interests. Rating scales will determine a child's weaknesses and strengths in different skills. It is important to provide students with developmental screenings and assessments in order to collect valuable information to see what accommodations and resources are needed to help them to be successful in their schooling.
