The nurse is preparing to obtain blood samples from a 9-year-old girl who has been suffering from flu-like symptoms. The mother has mentioned they were camping about 3 weeks ago in the forest and everyone had a few ticks, but she cannot remember if she pulled any off her daughter. This is the first time the child is having blood drawn that she remembers
