Mr. Smith is a 58 year old male who presented with a chief complaint of pain and limited range of motion in his left shoulder. He reported that the symptoms had been progressively worsening over the past several months but had an XRay and MRI and found no bone break. The pain and stiffness in his shoulder were significantly affecting his ability to perform daily activities and were hampering his work. After evaluation, it was found that he has a significant reduction in his left shoulder active range of motion and passive range of motion with moderate to severe pain when reaching over his head and behind his back. When tested for strength, weakness was noted in left shoulder and upper arm. These things are making it hard for him to complete his job and do his daily tasks.
