Creativity in Business So try this..... First:Try to answer the question:
"Implicitly or explicitly, creativity always begins with a question. And in both your business and your personal lives, the quality of your creativity is determined by the quality of your questions....A creative approach makes life a questioning process....when you bring creative questioning into your life, you don't care what you find. You do it for the adventure itself, without defining expectations. Even if you rather expect red, you're as pleased to find blue." (Ray & Myers, 1986, , p. 91)
What is a question? Make a list of definitions of a question. Don't stop at the first ten that come up! Spend some time on it. Put it away. Come back to it.
Then:
Make a list of as many open-ended, seemingly unanswerable, "dumb" questions as you can in 15+ min or more. Your questions can be humorous, or dramatic, or serious, or poignant. Fill at least a whole page. Not just one column, but a whole page. Do not get your questions out of a book. Get them out of your mind. This forum may also be one that you start and come back to.
Then:
Pick several of your questions (three to six) and try to provide answers to them. Again, don't just stop at the first answer. Continue to probe, get several answers. Review your answers. Do they give you any insights?
