Task 1 Interpret National Quality Framework
1. Write an analysis/ report on Quality Areas in the National Quality Framework against its relevance to the service. This information needs to be:
a. Clear and concise
b. Use 7 quality areas as Headings Quality Area 1 Education Program and Practice
c. Short synopsis to share with staff

2. Write a set of questions that you could give staff to ascertain their understanding and knowledge include in your questions - NQS, legislation and regulations

3. Write a description of the process of a service being assessed against the National Quality Standard. In your response include:
a. Steps towards service being rated
b. Who undertakes the visit and determines the rating

Task 2 Self-Assessment
1. List strategies that you could use to collect information from
a. Staff
b. Children
c. Families
d. Community

2. Discuss the strategy you would use to share ideas and involve colleagues in the collection of information

3. Record the information collected during the self-assessment against

4. How will you ensure that this self-assessment is available at the service to inform discussion of assessment and rating process?

Task 3 Quality Plan
1. Use this information to create and record in Quality Improvement Plan (use form from ACECQA website)

2. Collaborate with others to decide upon the strengths and key improvements (evidence of conversations or forms required)

3. Discuss a review process

Task 4 Site Visit
1. You have been informed that there will be a site visit. List who needs to be informed and the process of preparing for this visit.
a. Meetings
b. Documentation
c. Staff preparation

Assessment 1

1. List who may be able to support the service in the complying with the standards and developing a Quality Improvement Plan. Consider consultants, resources and personnel

2. Discuss the best practice principles that you will be striving for during the compliance process.
