Downtown Lexus, a Lexus dealership in Toronto, developed an app that lets customers request to have their vehicle picked up, serviced, and returned to their home within 24 hours with no dealership visit required. Based on the customer's previous app behaviour, the app can also notify the customer when they are due for servicing and recommend relevant products and services. When the General Manager of the dealership was asked why his team developed this app, he responded: "The whole notion of having to come to a dealership for service is outdated. If a customer doesn't want to set foot in the dealership, they shouldn't have to."
