Within the changing landscape of health care, the industry needs to measure performance or quality of care and concerns about future reimbursement models, EMS must begin to embrace industry standards, key performance indicators (KPI) or benchmarks. These benchmarks should be specific to all aspects of the management of an EMS organization.

For this project, you will need to write a report that includes at least five benchmarks to analyze actual performance measures:

• at least two benchmarks that are clinical performance measures,
• two benchmarks that are response or operational measures, and
• one benchmark that is a personnel-performance measure.

include in your report why you have selected each of these measures in terms of how they can help control risk or support internal monitoring within your organization. Also, discuss the benefit of having industry standard performance measures or benchmarks for comparison within an EMS organization.
