Every organization must have HR planning regardless of its business nature and geographical location. Many organizations have disappeared from the market due to their failure in developing proper HR plan to meet the changing business environment due to COVID-19 infections.

  • Aligning this situation, select an organization that you are familiar with and discuss the strategic importance of HR planning. What are the direct and indirect costs that organizations incur when they experience sustained periods of labor shortages and labor surpluses? Propose some recommendations (based on secondary research) on how the organizations can save themselves from labor shortages and labor surpluses during COVID-19 pandemic.
