1. Changing approaches to leadershipThis topic deals with the new ways leadership is being conceptualised in the academic literature andpracticed in the contemporary business and socialenvironment. Changes in technology, work tasks,organisational structures, economic drivers,demographics, social expectations continuouslythrow up new challenges highlighting the limitationsof classical approaches to leadership. The focus inthis topic is how emerging theories of leadership arerising to these meet the challenges of a changing world.

2. Ethics and social responsibilityThis topic deals with the principals of ethical and moral leadership, ethical decision making, howleaders develop an ethical and socially responsibleculture, the link between businessCharles Sturt University Subject Outline

3. Workplace Diversity

This topic looks at leadership behaviours, attitudes,styles, the advantages of managing for diversity,cultural sensitivity, global leadership skills, and leadership initiatives for achieving cultural diversity Once you have chosen your topic you need tocomplete this assessment. You will complete it in theInteract 2 Learning Journal. This activity also sets you up and starts you off for Assessment 1 MyLeadership Journal.

Assessments 2-4 are closely linked and form 3 partsof the one main task.
