The disease that I chose was malaria. There are ways to prevent or lessen the chances of people catching malaria. One way is educating the community on the signs and symptoms not to ignore. Do not think a simple fever is just a fever especially when you live in an area with high risk area. Distributing bed nets to everyone in the communities is a huge help as well. Better access to health care is fundamental so the people of the community get the medications they need to get better faster. Lastly indoor residual spraying which is the spraying of insecticides to kill the mosquitos in high risk areas. All of these options are realistic options. The fight to stop mosquitos is hard especially in poverty stricken areas. The best the people can do is manage with what they can do without spending too much money. In my opinion the most important thing to start with is making sure everyone has a bed nest and to start from there.
