Can you respond to this post Obtaining health insurance in the United States is challenging for vulnerable populations. Many demographics are considered vulnerable. From my personal experience, one of the most difficult groups of individuals who seek health insurance but are not able to receive it is undocumented immigrants- preferably women during and after childbirth. There is an estimate of 10 to 12 million undocumented immigrants currently in the U.S. Majority of them live in poor conditions with no access to healthcare insurance. Pregnant women are eligible for emergency Medicaid from the Federal Government, but only for acute care per episode (Gary and Lotas, 2022). Outcomes are all indivuaduals should be valued and reassessed in healthcare. Community health clinics is a key in assisting individuals with language barriers that are not eligible for health insurance. Understandably, community health clinics are currently serving populations that don't have access to private insurance and doctors. I believe there should be clinics exclusive to a culture and race of people that are Non-English speaking. Immigrants come to America for better opportunities in life.
