Family communication can be full of conflict, but it can be especially challenging during holidays! When family members get together for national holidays like Thanksgiving, Winter Holiday, Summer BBQs, weekend visits or extended destination vacations, all of the pleasantries and best intentions can fade away within a short period of time.

Our Dickson (2010) reading provides eight insights into remedies for the challenges of spending holiday with family. First complete the reading. Then reflect on what other lessons came from our other family module readings or major lessons that stuck with you this semester.
