In my career path I am currently at a cross roads in the direction I would like to go. I am a Operations Manager in an international company and have been here with the company for 7 1/2 years. Prior to this position I was in the role of Senior Accountant. I am being offered a change in position with another company as a Corporate Controller. There were many topics discussed throughout the class that currently affect my job and will affect the position I am being offered. The topic of international trade and dealing with exchange rates is one that has a massive affect in both positions. The ups and downs in exchange rates will impact cost of goods and margins for a company and will in turn have a impact on decisions made by the shareholders. There are many careers that are within the list I have not considered but could strike interest if I want a change in pace and choose to challenge myself and learning more about business structures

Hello Everyone,

The field or career I want to work in is Human Resources. The degree I'm pursing is Business Administration with a con/ in Industrial and Organization Psychology. My goal is to help hire people and create better policies so employees can have a better work and home balance. I have learned so much in this class, but I think one of the most important was to work with diversity. Working with different people can make an organization stronger because you have different ideas and point of views. Working with people that have a different background than you can help as well because different ideas can attract new customers which will expand your business and profits. One of the credentials that I'm interested in is the "Certified Global Business Professional (CGBP)". This one is interesting because it will show employers that you are knowledgeable about global trade and how you can help with border trading. Being certified can expand your skills and within your organizations and with global work as well. Also, working in HR this certification can help create a more diverse and more open environment.
