My position on this topic is that going on a no meat diet will cause you to lose essential thing to your body and health. Some study has shown that vegetarians may be less healthy than meat eaters, on average. A lot of people are under the false impression that herbivores enjoy healthy diets that lower their risks of disease. When you become a vegetarian, you lose out on nutrition like iron, calcium, vitamin B12, and zinc. Vitamin D and omega-3 fatty acid supplementation may also be necessary, to enhances your function an immune system.

Studies show that vegetarians are up to 40% less likely to develop cancer than meat eaters. I wasn't aware that eating meat especially bacon and sausage. Bacon and Sausage are two popular meats to be harmful to the human body. Red meat has been known to increase the risk of cancer.

A vegetarian diet leads to lower greenhouse gas emissions. It is helpful to know that Greenhouse gases are created by animal manure decomposition, and deforestation to make room for grazing animals. I would notice if this is true that producing a pound of hamburger meat contributes as much greenhouse gas as driving a small car nearly 20 miles. In a sense, this may be idea if there are study shown.

Eating fish is not more ethical, environmentally sound, or healthful than eating other animal protein sources. What I found helpful about this is that The US EPA states that "nearly all fish and shellfish" are contaminated by methylmercury (a potent neurotoxin) from industrial pollution. I would notice that fish have some levels of methylmercury. This would make sense because there is mercury in water.

Humans have evolved with a need for certain nutrients found in foods provided by the animals. There is no doubt that many of the practices being used by commercial farming are unethical, (maybe even criminal) and unhealthy. Therefore, you should always buy your meat from small, independent ranchers who provide grass-fed, organic, hormone-free, free-rage cattle and poultry. Eating meat is not immoral or unethical or any of the other things it is labeled. It is the way nature designed it and it is the way life has evolved for millions of years.
