Question

The energy crisis can be offset with certain measures taken by developed nations. The rapid population and constant demand for more space and energy has created a complex set of issues. Humans created this crisis, and with technology, education, and motivation, humans can stop it. A lot has been done so far to help, but progress has slowed and momentum needs to pick up (Howarth, 1).

Some strategies that could be used to reduce the oil demand are more use of electric vehicles (not just cars but trucks and planes, as well), better solutions for manufacturing companies to reduce their output of chemicals, and more energy-efficient buildings (Howarth, 1). Education and incentives will be the driving force behind these changes. Also, politicians need to be more involved with these solutions as well.
