As of right now, Tim Cook is Apple's CEO. A critical point has been reached in the employment situation at the company's Chinese supplier operations. There have been claims that the workers at these facilities are routinely subjected to verbal and physical harassment in addition to being forced to work long hours for a meager wage. Additionally, there have been cases of workers being made to live in overcrowded, filthy, and potentially dangerous settings. Although they have acknowledged that some of their suppliers have violated their code of conduct, Apple has replied by saying that these accusations are untrue. The company has also made it clear that it is committed to improving working conditions at the businesses it uses as suppliers. It is impossible for outside parties to hold the firm accountable for the working conditions at these factories due to their opaque nature.
