Central Arizona water supply comes from three main resources from Colorado River, the Salt and Verde River systems, and ground water. The drinking water in Arizona is considered to be generally safe to drink. Some of the contaminated in Arizona water can be a lot of them. A list of a few of these are; Sulfate, Iron, Manganese, Radon, Iron Bacteria, Copper, Nitrate, Arsenic, Radium, and Fluoride. There are ways to tell if your water has been contaminated. The main one that I saw, was if your water has a chlorine odor or taste but it does not contain rust or iron discoloration. It means that it probably contains high levels of copper. Other sources include plumbing pipes and hot water heater. There hasn't been in any recent news about any water contamination in the last few months. When it comes to a lot of the water in Arizona, a lot of people just use filter water for their main resources of drinking water.
