Problem

Your heavy civil firm is looking to bid on an upcoming earthwork project involving the excavation of 100,000 BCY of soil earth material. The proposed construction schedule allows 30 days to complete the earthwork.

The cut volume will be wasted on-site using the off-highway travel route profile shown below. Slope angles are presented in units of % grade. Off-highway hauling equipment will utilize the same route in both the haul and return directions.
