Learning Outcome 1: Carry out conceptual design, seismic analysis and detailed design of concrete framed buildings to EC8

Learning Outcome 2: Critically analyze technical structural requirements and recommend credible practical solutions for concrete structures subjected to earthquake induced loading incl. repair and strengthening of earthquake-damaged structures.

Assessment task

Curry out the Conceptual Design, Analysis, Verification and Detailed Design (by hand) of a Reinforced Concrete Structure forming part of a school in Athens (shown in the figure below) to Eurocode 8.
