Carbon dioxide (CO2) which is a colorless, odorless gas is a life sustaining and considered one of the main pollutants that is causing the Earth to warm up and causing the greenhouse effect. In the past some scientist wonder if humans could be the cause or could cause the change in the climate and the answer is yes. The main cause for the high CO2 output from humans would be from burning fossil fuels and gases. Also, we release 35 million metric tons of CO2 into the atmosphere each year. Also with each year and the mass use of gases and other resources that cause global warming it also effects glaciers and ice sheets causing a rise in sea level. Some consequences that come from the climate change would be the effect it has on some animals and it can cause ocean water to become more acidic. Some nations are in the process of finding ways to help reduce the issue of global warming with the Paris Agreement. Other ways that we as people can reduce air pollution are conserve energy, don't use as many resources that cause waste, and reduce transportation cost.
