Alex is employed as a driver for Ace Lumber, delivering supplies to construction sites. One day, Alex negligently secures the lumber in the truck. A large piece of lumber flies out of the truck while he is driving down the road, causing injury to a passing motorcyclist. Does the motorcyclist have a valid claim against Alex? Against Ace Lumber?
