Questions to the Class:

Another aspect of diversity in the workplace is generational differences. At my company, we require all managers and high potentials (those in the succession plan) to attend a three-hour program on managing generational challenges. In class we do activities to Identify the profile of our company and benefits of generational diversity. We also discuss how each generation defines career success and what we can do to help that generation achieve it. One goal is to retain our baby boomers as long as we can because they are a rich source of skill and knowledge. I recommend managers visit AARP online at www.aarp.org/employerresourcecenter for tips and suggestions.
