In this case, Virginia Polland, an employee at Teddy's Supplies has been subject to harassment as well as discrimination at work place by her co-workers. She was fired from her job and her co-workers were spared. This ill-treatment had led Virginia Polland to file case against her former employer Teddy's Supplies. A hypothetical condition of an HR manager being hired at Teddy's Supplies and HR manager's response to this case has been given in the answers.
