Peas and Carrots is a specialty restaurant based in Fremantle Western Australia

It was founded by 2 sisters Amy and Jemma Thomas who both have a passion for all things culinary. They both have expertise in the hospitality industry specifically in restaurant management.

The business partners have always lived in Fremantle are very active in the local community and can access a wide range of fresh produce to assist them with the preparation of appealing menus designed for the local market.

Knowing that restaurants are only as good as the reputation of the chef they have acquired the services of a very popular female Australian chef. They believe that their passion for all things culinary will help them to gain market share in a competitive environment.

There is an extensive menu choice which includes a wide range of foods including a wide variety of vegetarian options plus gluten free menu choices.

Situational analysis
Peas and Carrots is currently in their second year of operation. They have already won an award for the best new restaurant in Fremantle and can now build on this to help enhance and build their reputation.

Market needs

They are currently in an ideal location to maximize revenue from locals and visitors close to the Fremantle CBD and hotel accommodation They are directly targeting local women with their diverse menu variety, affordability and intimate dining atmosphere.

Market research on their target market indicates women are looking for variety, friendly customer service and competitive pricing. Peas and Carrots meets these needs in the following ways.

Accessibility: They open six days a week Tuesday to Sunday with late service till 11pm on Friday/Saturday and Sunday nights

Friendly customer service: Jemma and Amy pride themselves on giving everyone outstanding customer service experience.

Competitive pricing: Continued competitor market research ensures meal prices are realistic and affordable in line with the creative menu choices.
