Case Study 1: Taking Credit

You are working as an intern and your supervisor has asked you to help a fellow intern with a big project.  You spend countless hours doing research and analyzing data.  When you and the other intern present the project to management and your supervisor, the other intern takes over the presentation and ownership for a majority of the work.  The intern gives you little to no credit for your work which was over half of the project.  During the meeting, you don't disagree with the intern because you don't want to make a scene in front of management.  You wait until after the meeting to do anything about the situation.

Presentation Guidelines

  • The group must submit a typed paper with a written response to each of the rubric points.  It will be collected at the start of class on June 21.

  • Each group member must present a piece of the information-this is how individual points will be assessed.  The names of the presenter of each section must be included on the written report.

  • Business casual dress is required.

  • The presentation should be about 4 minutes.

  • Questions, even challenges from the rest of the class should be expected.

Provide your group's top recommendation from the potential action steps for handling the situation.
