Case study for Global Pharmaceutical Company

As Vice President of Chemical Development and Processing of Global Pharmaceutical Company (GPC), Elizabeth Moreno is highly known and renowned specialist within the pharmaceutical industry. Part of Ms. Moreno's role as a key executive is to visit the various subsidiaries of GPC to assist in resolving development and processing issues that arise in the company. Ms. Moreno has been employed with GPC over 12 years and is currently on a foreign assignment that has led her to visit one of GPC's subsidiary plants in France. The purpose of this weeklong visit is to study a problem with shelf life testing of one of its newest anti-allergy capsules (Deresky, 2011). According to testing data, the product's active ingredient seems too degrade at a rate faster than the published expiration date. Ms. Moreno is aware there are many cultural differences between France and the United States. In order to understand the cultural differences between the two countries, Elizabeth has taken all available opportunities to prepare herself deal with and further understand these cultural differences.
